It's incredibly hard to find good outerwear for us fat ladies: most coats in our sizes are a basic fleece lining and poly shell that does jack in anything colder than 45 degrees. I ride a motor scooter and it's not as intense as a motorcycle, but the windchill when you're driving 30 mph in freezing weather is still no joke. This coat does the job. The lycra thumb loops work great, and the fastenings on the cuffs are velcro, not snaps, which means you can cinch them exactly as tight as you need to keep the wind out. I love that the front placket that covers the zip is held closed with magnets not snaps, and the variety and ease of access of the pockets. Finally I love the design of the collar: it is stiffer than on a regular jacket, meaning that it stands up to the wind and keeps it from blowing down my neck. The insulation also gets the job done, as demonstrated by the fact that even after driving for an hour in freezing weather, I couldn't feel the cold at all.
